Robert Kmieciak – PhD with “habilitation” in the field of political science, professor at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He manages a team of political scientists at the Department of Local Government and Local Government Research at the Department of Political Science and Journalism of AMU. His research interests focus on the issues of territorial, economic and professional self-government as well as regional policy. He is an author of a number of works devoted to local government issues. He is an author of the monographs: Wielkopolska Izba Rolnicza jako forma samorządu zawodowego i gospodarczego (Wielkopolska Izba Rolnicza as a form of professional and economic self-government) (1995); Samorząd gospodarczy w Polsce. Rozważania na temat modelu ustrojowego (Economic self-government in Poland. Reflections on the systemic model) (2004). Co-author of the works: Wspólna Polityka Rolna w warunkach wzrostu konkurencyjności Unii Europejskiej (Common Agricultural Policy in the conditions of increased competitiveness of the European Union) (2010); Samorząd gospodarczy i zawodowy w systemie politycznym Polski (Economic and professional self-government in the political system of Poland) (2012); Pożądany kierunek zmian modelu samorządu gospodarczego w Polsce.
