Elżbieta Szulc-Wałecka – MA in political science and in administration, PhD student at the Department of Local Government and Local Policy at the Faculty of Political Science of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Social activist, she cooperates with the milieu of Lublin non-governmental organisations, including the Foundation for the Development of Civic Initiatives, where she acts as a trainer and expert. Research interests oscillate around issues such as democracy, local government, governance, participatory democracy, civic participation, participatory governance, the role of leaders/local leaders in local government.
