Paweł Antkowiak – PhD with "habilitation", assistant professor at the Department of Local Government and Self-government Research at the Department of Political Science and Journalism of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He holds scholarships of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, of the Adam Mickiewicz University’s Foundation and the AMU programme “The Unique Graduate”. He is a representative of the Dean of the Department for Organisation of Education and he holds the position of the director of the School of Physical Education and Sport at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He is an expert and adviser in local government units. An associate at the WSB Universities in Poznań. His scientific interests focus on the functioning of territorial, professional and economic self-government as well as local politics. He is an author of the monograph: Samorząd terytorialny na przykładzie miasta Konina (Local government on the example of the city of Konin) (2011) and 25 lat samorządu terytorialnego w Polsce: doświadczenia i perspektywy rozwoju (25 years of local government in Poland: experience and development prospects) (2015).
